Jonathan Majors and Michael B. Jordan starred alongside each other in the recent installment of the Creed franchise, specifically Creed III. Even though Jonathan Majors hasn’t had a long filmography or history in Hollywood, he and Jordan have become very close while creating this film.
Jonathan Majors is an American actor who made his debut starring in the ABC miniseries. Since then, he has given many powerful performances embedding him as a worthy Hollywood actor. On the other hand, we have Michael B. Jordan, an American actor, producer, and director who began working as a child model and landed his first acting role in 1999.
The Bromance That Can’t Be Ignored.
Jonathan Majors played the role of Damian Anderson, Creed’s childhood friend, in the film, while Michael B. Jordan not only directed this film but also starred as the hero boxer, Adonis Creed. As these two characters are played closely alongside each other, there are bound to be many moments during interviews with them and how they grew together off camera to make their relationship on screen believable.
As the two played friends turned rivals in the movie, the two grew close. Jonathan Majors even revealed that Jordan is his “homie,” his “best buddy,” and his “go-to-guy.”
“We have a very amicable relationship that’s my best buddy,” Majors, who plays Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said. “We support each other on a day to day, so, if it’s Marvel, it’s Marvel that day, if it’s girl troubles, it’s girl troubles that day — whatever, whatever. He’s my brother.”
Michael B. Jordan has also been a part of the MCU as T’Challa’s brother – Killmonger; he even made a cameo in the Black Panther sequel, which was a homage to the late actor Chadwick Boseman.
Bonding between Jonathan Majors and Michael B. Jordan.
In another interview, Majors and Jordan played a game of basketball, and it’s clear that these two are a little bit competitive but also have lots of love. With the release of Creed III, critics compliment Jonathan Majors and Jordan for their performance and excellent portrayal of these characters. By the time the filming wrapped on the sets, they had developed a very close relationship.
Speaking to Deadline, Majors shared that the intimacy of warriors and the drama in the ring led to both of them being intertwined and feeling incredibly connected with each other. Majors expressed that working on Creed III with Michael B. Jordan as the director helped him push himself as an actor. Michael B. Jordan also voted for Jonathan Majors to be the sexiest man alive. In another interview, he went down memory lane and complimented Jonathan Majors on his qualities and why he chose Majors to play this part in the film.
The physical fight that the two actors had to do in the ring came with many trained, choreographed moves and trust between one another to pull some scenes off. Their onscreen chemistry, as well as off-screen, was loved a lot by the fans. Hopefully, we will see both actors reunite one day in another film.
