Spider-Man 4 could be officially in development at Sony and Marvel, but we’re no closer to knowing when he might hit theaters.

Marvel Studios held an epic panel at Comic-Con where Kevin Feige confirmed the Phase Five release dates and some major Phase Six releases. However, a new Spider-Man movie was never going to be announced there, as it is a Sony release.

Before the release of No Way Home, Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal said a new trilogy was in the works. However, she backtracked upon the premiere in December 2021 to say that it was essentially just a wish.

Shortly after, Feige confirmed that a new movie is in development, and in May 2022, Sony boss Tom Rothman said they “hope to start working on the next Spider-Man movie” with “that whole group.” that is, Tom Holland, Zendaya and company.
