SAN ANDREAS 2: SAU SHOCK (2024) Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario |

San Andreas is a 2015 American disaster film directed by Brad Peyton and written by Carlton Cuse, with Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore receiving story credit. The film stars Dwayne Johnson in the lead role, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Archie Panjabi and Paul Giamatti. Its plot centers on a massive earthquake caused by the San Andreas Fault devastating the West Coast of the United States.
Principal photography of the film started on April 22, 2014, in Queensland, Australia, and wrapped up on July 28 in San Francisco. The film was released worldwide in 2D and 3D on May 29, 2015 and received mixed reviews from critics, praising the visual effects and Johnson and Gugino’s performances but criticizing the plot and characters. It grossed $474 million worldwide.

San Andreas 2 dream trailer is one of my favorite to edit because I’m a big fan of The Rock. I could not find the perfect music tone wise but Dune 2 trailer music captured the epic vibe that fits well with the franchise. I begin act 1 making the scene about the aftermath of the e4rthquake in San Andreas film. I showed Emma relieving the events by showing clips of the film as a flashback. Act 2 I showed text “8 years later” since the film was released in 2015, which was that long ago.

Then the e4rthquake comes using clips from numerous films which I connected with scenes of our main characters. I could not find any fresh Dwayne Johnson action scenes so I used the morning run commercial and connected the clips with him looking at the events around him, which worked well making the scene fresh. Once again I added John Cena because I wanted him and Rock to work together in a film which was never been done before. For the epic ending I showed clips from GEOSTORM when the buildings are falling. It turned out to be a successful San Andreas 2 dream trailer thanks to Dwayne Baller fresh clips and amazing music.
