It’s time to go “yip yip” again as we hope that we get another season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. And while we can totally go back to original series to find out what is going to happen next, we still can’t help but get excited over the possible future of the live-action version. After all, there are still two more books left in the series so we already know that there’s a lot more to expect. So are we going to continue on the gaang’s journey to helping Aang become the Avatar or is this the end of the line for the series’ second live-action adaptation?
Here’s everything we know about season 2 of the Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series.
Is Avatar: The Last Airbender coming back for season 2?
It looks like we’ll actually see the full animated series be turned into a live-action series as Netflix renewed the series for not just one, but two more seasons. And based on the photo, Season 2 will follow Book 2, Earth, while season 3 is Fire.

What would season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender be about?
Season 2 would follow Book 2 of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series which mostly focuses on Aang trying to learn earthbending which causes him to go back to the Earth Kingdom and as he keeps himself from being kidnapped by Zuko and also find out a way to take down Fire Lord Ozai. Of course, he’ll have the rest of the gaang along the way along with some other familiar faces that they’ve already met on their adventures.
Are there any new faces joining the case?
Super fans know that the show’s second season will introduce one of the most important characters in the series and *spoiler warning* for those who don’t want a major reveal…
It’s Toph! The powerful earthbender joins the gaang in the show’s second season after she meets the group on one of their adventures in the Earth Kingdom. Not only does she become a permanent member of the series, she also is the one who teaches Aang how to earthbend. So basically, she’s a really big deal and actually considered one of the show’s most iconic characters. But who will play her? We’ll have to wait and see!

When will Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 premiere?
Since it *just* got renewed, it’s a little too early to tell. But hopefully we won’t have to wait too long. The first season did take a while to go from production to airing, but they’re basically masters at filming this series now so it’s likely the wait will be shorter this time around. Maybe we should have some cups of tea and play a few rounds of Pai Sho to pass the time?
