36 years after the smash-hit success of the first film, Beetlejuice is back with a promising sequel titled “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”.

The final trailer for the film was released by Warner Bros. on May 23, 2024, revealing humorous, spooky, and colorful moments.

The film revolves around the Deetz family, who move into a haunted house in the town of Winter River. Their daughter, Lydia (Winona Ryder), is still haunted by Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a mischievous ghost she met in the previous film. When Lydia’s rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid (Jenna Ortega), accidentally opens the gateway to the underworld, Beetlejuice is once again unleashed.

The trailer opens with Beetlejuice appearing in the haunted house, declaring that he is “back” and “ready to party”. We are then introduced to Astrid, a rebellious and curious teenage girl. Astrid quickly finds the secret attic of the house, where a miniature model of the town of Winter River is hidden. When Astrid touches the model, the gateway to the underworld suddenly opens, freeing Beetlejuice.

Beetlejuice promises to deliver hilarious and unique performances by Michael Keaton, along with a promising new cast including Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci and Adam Scott. The film is directed by Tim Burton, who created the first successful film in 1988.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is scheduled to be released on June 1, 2024.
