Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk may have been revealed through new Marvel Cinematic Universe merchandise for Captain America: Brave New World. One of the big installments in Phase 5 is Sam Wilson’s own solo film, Captain America: Brave New World, marking the first time Anthony Mackie is headlining his own MCU movie. Captain America: Brave New World will continue the story set up in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier finale, with Sam Wilson serving as the new Captain America.

A new promo video by Colecionáveis Fast Food reveals a toy line-up of the Captain America: Brave New World cast members and their characters. Two of them that are included there are Ford’s version of Red Hulk, alongside the new costume for Falcon.

It is worth taking into account that these toys may be from an old version of Captain America: Brave New World, since Diamondback, who is one of the characters listed, is rumored to no longer be involved because the Serpent Society is said to have been removed from the Phase 5 movie altogether. However, that has yet to be confirmed by Disney or Marvel Studios.

Is Red Hulk The Secret Villain For Captain America: Brave New World?

While there have been clues throughout the Captain America: Brave New World production that Thunderbolt Ross will become the Red Hulk, it hasn’t been fully confirmed to be the case. However, based on the new merch, if Red Hulk shows up in Captain America 4, it begs the question of whether he is one of the villains or perhaps the main antagonist. Given The Leader is set to return for the first time to the MCU since The Incredible Hulk, it feels safe to assume that Ross may not be the main foe.

However, it wouldn’t be shocking if President Ross emerged as a surprise rival to Captain America. Based on their disagreements in the footage for Captain America: Brave New World that screened at CinemaCon, it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise if Ford’s character had perhaps experimented on himself in order to lead his own Avengers team. Given how long he has been in the MCU to this point, it wouldn’t be a big stretch for Ross to have undergone experiments that led to him becoming the Red Hulk after all these years.

The bigger question, however, is what this could mean for the MCU going forward if the Red Hulk ends up being around on a regular basis. With movies like Thunderbolts* coming up, it would be interesting to see if Captain America: Brave New World secretly sets up a role for the Red Hulk in that film. But for now, the world will have to wait and see what becomes of the Red Hulk and whether he ends up in Captain America: Brave New World.
