Royal biographer Robert Hardman has revealed in an interview with TalkTV the Duke of Sussex could reconcile with his family.

He pointed to how Harry acted at Charles’ coronation.

Hardman said that Harry landed in the UK with little fuss and then was at the coronation in a seat of lower status than he deserved.

“Harry bowed his head longer than almost anybody.

“And then he was off again and it was done completely low profile, like ‘this is my father’s day, nothing to do with me’.”

During the coronation, Harry’s bow was partially blocked from view due to a bright red feather his aunt Princess Anne was wearing.

Hardman has just released a new biography on the monarch: ‘Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story’.

The book has given an insight into the start of Charles’ reign which has seen the rift continue as well as issues with the Duke of York.

Harry makes NO reference to Charles or Kate’s health shock in awards speech

He said: “You had a new series of The Crown, you had Harry and Meghan’s and six part series on Netflix and then the publication of his memoir I which was full of all sorts of inside revelations about family life.”

But, Hardman said Charles can compartmentalise Andrew and Harry away from his role as monarch.

“They’re things beyond his control.

“Obviously he’s sad, he’s sad that his adored younger son has gone abroad and he doesn’t see that much of him.

Hardman said the “door is open” and Charles “lives in hope” that the pair will reconcile.

The biographer’s comments come as Buckingham Palace triggered a double royal health scare when it revealed King Charles was to be treated in hospital for an enlarged prostate on Wednesday.

It came just 90 minutes after Kensington Palace announced the Princess of Wales had been admitted to a private hospital for successful abdominal surgery.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, has so far not publicly commented on either of the operations.

Last month, relations between Charles and Harry were said to be fractured beyond repair amid the fallout of the royal race row.

He will now only communicate with his son through palace advisors after Harry snubbed the King’s offer of staying with him at Balmoral last year to mark the first anniversary of the Queen’s death, another expert said.
