As the third installment of Creed comes under the list of one of the best sports dramas ever made in Hollywood, actor Jonathan Majors went through strict strength training in order to prepare for the character of antagonist Damian. During an interview with a reputed media outlet NPR, Jonathan Majors spoke about his character Damian and the preparation that was required to play that role. He said-
“There’s gradations to it, of course. This is cinema, so I’m going for the cinematic. That takes work. There are, you know, 2 o’clock workout sessions where you’re just crying on the floor because your abs just feel like they just stop working. There are days that I couldn’t feel my arms.”
Jonathan Majors went on to describe the entire process as a spiritual, emotional, and physical transformation for himself. He underwent strict diet plans and strength training in order to develop the mentality of a boxer for Creed 3. His hard work and determination paid off as the actor was critically acclaimed for his performance in the sports drama.

Not many people know, but the suggestion of Jonathan Majors was given by actor Michael B. Jordan for Creed 3. During an interview with the reputed media outlet The New York Post, the actor duo spoke about their first Facetime call in order to discuss their respective characters in Creed 3. Michael B. Jordan said-
“I was all in my head, like, “OK, what are the things I would want to hear? This dude can do a million different things right now. What’s going to make him take a chance on this actor-director who hasn’t directed [anything]?” I knew I had to be truthful about what this project meant to me, and I wanted to make sure he knew: “I want to glorify you. I want to give you the space and room to do your thing.”
Jonathan Majors added-
“Which was mind-altering to me. I just thought, “There’s no way.” I was already doing my risk analysis on the film when I got the call. I was thinking, “What’s worth it? How much am I going to eat?”
While talking about the physical transformation, Jonathan Majors said-
“No, literally, how much do I get to eat? [Laughs.] I’m in the movie for fight scenes, and I’m going to put my ass in. But to be truthful, I was moving on faith. Two alphas? No, bro, we both cannot survive. Somebody’s got to die. That’s the game I thought I was entering into, and he just kept saying, “I got you, bro.” I was like, “Boy, all right.”
