Meghan Markle enjoys rare glamorous night without Prince Harry at painfully star-studded Hollywood bash

Hollywood is back in full swing after the strikes ended and Meghan Markle was among one of the many celebs at the latest star-studded event – but her husband Prince Harry was nowhere to be seen.

Variety’s 2023 Power of Women event, hot on the trails of GQ’s Man of the Year awards, was stacked with iconic women from Dua Lipa to Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan Markle poses with big Hollywood names amid exciting new projects

Meghan, 42, kept things chic and simple in her beige off shoulder floor length gown with her hair slicked back showing off nude-toned makeup.

The Duchess of Sussex excitedly told Variety that she and Prince Harry have ‘so many exciting things on the slate’ and were ‘so proud’ of what they have created in Hollywood so far.

She has been enjoying the many concerts in Los Angeles in recent months, often with a seemingly reluctant Prince Harry on her arm – including a Katy Perry gig.

This is one of the few times recently that Meghan has attended such a glamorous event on her own but we can’t blame her as she was in good company with her Hollywood pals.

Her friend Oprah, was seen addressing the event in a sparkling lilac fit with matching nails and round glasses.

The 69-year-old was of course the presenter behind the earth-shattering Harry and Meghan interview after their exit from the role of working royals.

Oprah and Meghan were the tip of the iceberg for famous faces at the awards, with Dua Lipa looking utterly gorgeous with her Jessica Rabbit-esque look.

The Houdini singer, who presented one of the awards, made a bold monochrome choice with a silky red gown matching her hair with a suggestive bust cutout and bow.

She told Variety of Barbie: ‘It’s really just so exciting and such a dream to be part of such a mammoth movie. It’s unbelievable. I feel very lucky.’

With a subtle flush to her cheeks, Dua grinned as she posed with her co-stars from the smash hit film – Margot Robbie and youngster Ariana Greenblatt.

Margot was one of the honourees receiving the Producer of the Year Award, along with her fellow LuckyChap co-founders Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara.

Ditching her familiar pink looks for a sleek chocolate brown off-shoulder gown, although we’re sure she’s still channelling the iconic doll because she was utterly glowing.

Her blonde hair was flowing while she rocked a classic red lip, coordinating with Dua, and glittering green and silver earrings.

Ariana, who is just 16, brought playful 2010’s style with a work casual party attire, pairing a dark grey corset top and skirt with a tie.

A room full of extraordinary women wouldn’t be complete without this notable mention – Leonardo DiCaprio.

Yes, the Killers of The Flower Moon actor was also in the house to introduce an honouree, smiling away in a blue suit with black shirt.

He seemed happy and relaxed at the event, although hopefully he didn’t break out into another rap like at his wild 49th birthday party just days before.

Emily Blunt took home the Power of Women Alumni Award, looking stunning in a white long sleeved dress which shimmered with sequins in the light.

She posed with new mum Carey Mulligan who dramatically contrasted Emily’s fluffy sleeves with a chic black one shoulder gown with velvet detail.

Carey was also honoured at the event, along with Fantasia Barrino, Lily Gladstone and Billie Eilish, who is still rocking her red roots with black hair.

Billie, 21, looked iconic in an oversized black suit as she performed her hit song What Was I Made For? alongside her brother Finneas O’Connell.

Also spotted on the red carpet was Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough, who has just concluded a legal battle with her grandmother Priscilla as the biopic arrives in cinemas.

She brought a hint of festive cheer with her cream structured dress, with gold tinsel stripes and buttons.

Rounding out the slew of famous women were Sofia Carson, Emma Myers, Diane Warren, Addison Rae, Madison Bailey, Tia Mowry and many more.
