Meghan Markle will instead jet off to Nigeria for an “Invictus-inspired” visit.
Meghan Markle won’t be joining Prince Harry in the UK for the Invictus Games ceremony, a spokesperson has confirmed.
Instead, the Duchess of Sussex will be flying to Nigeria for an “Invictus-inspired” visit.
The Duke of Sussex is set to appear at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 where he will help mark the 10th anniversay of the Invictus games.
It will be the first time Harry has returned to the UK since a brief visit in February that included a 30 minute meeting with his father after the King was diagnosed with cancer.

Following the visit he said he would “stop in and see my family as much as I can,” reports MailOnline.
Meghan meanwhile has only occasionally returned to the United Kingdom after she and Harry quit as working royals in 2020. The Mail says sources claim the duchess is “done” with the UK.
Express Online has approached Buckingham Palace about whether the King plans to meet Harry when he is in the UK next week.
While in Britain, Harry is scheduled to deliver a reading about the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014 in a bid to help support recovery for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans.
However, no senior royals are expected to attending the reading.

It is reported Harry will stop in a hotel when he is in the UK as he has done previously.
He will then head to Nigeria to meet the country’s chief of defence staff after the pair met at last year’s Invictus Games. Nigerian media says they will meet service personnel and their families.
In 2022, Meghan revealed she discovered she was 42 percent Nigerian after completing a genealogy test “a couple of years ago”.
On her Archetypes podcast she said she wanted to “dig deeper” into her heritage.
