First, Schauffele acknowledged Scheffler’s tough situation and was impressed with the way he handled it.

“He handled it really well in Scottie Scheffler fashion. He’s a good dude. As soon as I saw it, I thought it was a prank and then I saw it on the news and then I was like Holy Smokes this actually happened,” Xander Schauffele said via a video chat with Barstool Sports.

Then, Schauffele discussed the hilarious roast he and some other PGA Tour stars threw at Scheffler afterward.

“We have a group chat with our phyiso, our crew. It’s like me Gary, J.T., Jordan, Scottie, Pat, so the boys were heckling Scottie a bit…just enough,” Schauffele revealed.

One of Barstool’s video chat hosts joked that the group needed to change the profile picture to Scottie Scheffler’s mug shot, and Schauffele was two steps ahead of him.

“Obviously, that happened,” Schauffele said before everyone erupted in laughter.
