Fans had the opportunity to cheer for Brock Purdy tonight as the San Francisco 49ers quarterback threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Oracle Park, preceding the Giants’ game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Giants are looking to rebound from a 6-4 defeat against their division rivals on Monday night, marking San Francisco’s third loss in five games.
Purdy, entering his third NFL season, is coming off an impressive 2023 campaign where the 24-year-old quarterback set a single-season franchise record with 4,280 passing yards. He completed 69.4 percent of his passes and threw 31 touchdowns along with 11 interceptions.
Purdy and the 49ers reached the Super Bowl last season but fell short of clinching the championship, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.
